THE ROLEX SUBMARINER 14060 NO DATE: The Complete History - Swiss Watch Trader

THE HISTORY OF THE ROLEX SUBMARINER 14060 NO DATE

The Rolex Submariner 14060 no date was released in 1988 and replaced the classic Rolex Submariner 5513. Improvements over the 5513 include the addition of a sapphire crystal and triplock crown which increased the depth rating of the Rolex Submariner 14060 no date to 300m. The Rolex Submariner 14060 was powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 3000 with a power reserve of around 50 hours.

ROLEX SUBMARINER 14060 NO DATE: 1988 - 1999

Rolex Submariner 14060 No Date

The 14060 was fitted with black glossy dials with applied tritium hour markers and hands. The tritium version of the Rolex Submariner 14060 is identified by the "SWISS-T<25" printed on the dial below the 6 o'clock marker. The dial on the Rolex Submariner 14060 also featured only two lines of text on the dial. Tritium dials were eventually phased out in the late 90's with watches being fitted with "SWISS" only dials in 1999. All cases of the Rolex Submariner 14060 no date feature 40mm stainless steel cases with lug holes and were fitted with the 93150 oyster bracelet with folding clasp.
