We have a simple rule at Swiss Watch Trader; if we don't like it, and wouldn't spend our own money on it, then we won't stock it. Our selection of watches may not be the most extensive but we believe they are the most desirable. Other watch dealers may have larger selections but what we lack in quantity we make up for in quality. Every watch that arrives in stock is visually and mechanically checked prior to going on sale. If the watch passes our strict quality control process than it will be advertised on the website and include a 12 month warranty. Any watch failing our inspection will be sent back to the manufacturer for a full service and overhaul - we do not use 3rd parties for watch servicing or repair.
With the exception of a few vintage pieces, all watches are complete with the minimum of their original boxes and papers. Any ancillary items such as manuals, bezel protectors and hang tags will not be added to a set if missing. We believe in being 100% honest with our watches and will not add to sets just to increase the asking price.
At Swiss Watch Trader we have decided that with modern technology and a growing social media generation the days of owning a High Street premises are behind us. The internet and smartphones do a great job of bringing people together but also makes it easy to forget that the UK is still a huge island with population of over 65 million and covering nearly 100,000 square miles. Being located on the South Coast means we are often at a geographical disadvantage when it comes to customers wanting to view a watch prior to purchase. We have solved this problem by establishing a network of offices around the UK. So if viewing your next watch or collecting after payment is not possible at our main office in Whiteley, Hampshire, we can arrange a meeting at a more convenient location.
Thanks for visiting, Paul (Director)
Describing the condition of pre-owned watches is always subjective. What one person classes as "mint" anther may consider as average. At Swiss Watch Trader we are very critical and try to let the images talk for themselves. If a watch is new and unworn it will be described as such. If a watch shows the slightest signs of being worn then it will be described as immaculate or outstanding. The worst you will find on this website is excellent. If a watch arrives in anything less than the best possible condition then it will be sent for a full service and overhaul with the manufacturer - we do not use 3rd parties for servicing. All photographs on this website are of the actual watch for sale. No editing has taken place - they are exactly as pictured. The 360º images are taken using a Nikon D5300 with a kit lens linked to an Iconosys turntable and software. All additional photographs are taken using an Olympus EM10 with 50mm macro lens or iPhone. You can buy in confidence knowing that if the watch arrives and you are not 100% happy with the condition, size, fit or appearance then a full refund, plus any postage incurred, will be issued.
