On 24th May 1962, Scott Carpenter wore a modified Navitimer, named the Cosmonaute, during the Aurora 7 mission. This event marked the first time a Swiss wrist-worn chronograph was worn in space. The Cosmonaute featured an enlarged bezel that was easier to manipulate whilst wearing gloves.
