MORE INFORMATIONThe Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 was the first Daytona to be fitted with an in house movement. The 116520 is powered by the Rolex calibre 4130. Prior to 2000 the Rolex Daytona was fitted with the heavily modified El Primero movement which Rolex called the 4030. The 4130 was the result of five years of innovation, refinement, and technical improvement. The 4130 movement features only 201 separate components, a 60% reduction when compared to the El Primero 4030 caliber. In addition to the 4130 being a more reliable and refined movement, the power reserve increased from 50 to 72 hours.
