Released in 1957, the original Omega Speedmaster featured “Broad Arrow” hands, a 39mm stainless steel case and the familiar three sub-dial layout. The Speedmaster CK2998 became the first Omega in space when it worn by Wally Schira during NASA's Project Mercury in October 1962.
