Rolex Submariner 5513 Gilt Dial (1966)
This Tropical Gilt Dial Rolex Submariner 5513 remains in fantastic condition. This vintage watch dates to 1966 with a 1,41+,+++ serial number and I/66 case back. The watch features its original meters first gilt dial with matching hands and nicely faded fat font bezel insert. The case back features numerous Rolex service markings. The watch also benefits from being fitted with an original Rolex 7206 bracelet with 12 links and showing no stretch. The gilt dial on this particular Rolex Submariner 5513 has developed an interesting tropical characteristic often referred to as "Wabi-Sabi" - a features resulting from the original lacquer on the dial crazing and giving it an appearance of cracked leather. All 12 tritium hour markers are in perfect condition. You will not find a better 5513 with a dial like this! Complete with original Rolex 5513 inner and outer boxes (inner box is a 10.00.1), warranty certificate, service manual and service pouch.
