The TAG Heuer Formula 1 was released in 1987. The original model featured a 34mm resin case in black or red with black, red or green bezels and a quartz movement. In 1988 a 28mm ladies version was added with a steel case becoming available as well as an extended number of coloured resins cases. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 continued with minor update until it was eventually discontinued in 2000. The TAG Heuer made a comeback in 2004 with an updated case design. The current range of TAG Heuer Formula 1 watches feature a 41, 43 of 44mm stainless steel case using quartz and quartz chronograph movements.
