This isn't a deal breaker but it will obviously effect the price we will be able to achieve. In order for us to give you the best and most accurate valuation on your pre owned Rolex or other Swiss watch you need to inform us in as much detail as possible what we can expect from your watch. We will need the make, model and model number. We don't necessarily need the serial number at this stage. We also need to know exactly what is included such as inner and outer boxes, warranty card/certificate, manuals, hang tags and any service history. By choosing to have Swiss Watch Trader sell your watch you have the ability to achieve a far greater selling price, and an improved return after fees than by selling to another watch dealer or selling privately. Many people choose to sell their watches via eBay in the hope of gaining a higher price than by selling to a watch dealer. This can sometimes be the case. However there are a few things to consider. A private seller may not be able to achieve the same advertised/selling price as professional watch dealer due to the lack of feedback or customer reviews. Plus a private seller can expect fees as high as £945 when selling a £10,000 watch. A seller would also have to take into consideration chargebacks for fraudulent transactions, returns, plus the obvious scammers and chancers. Selling a watch to a dealer can be far easier and safer for the private individual but depending on the watch, the price offered may be much lower than the market value. This is when having Swiss Watch Trader sell your watch on a sale or return basis makes perfect sense. You achieve the price you want with none of the risks or dangers associated with trying to sell the watch yourself and you receive a higher price than selling direct to a watch dealer.

To keep things simple we now charge a flat rate of 10% (or a minimum of £495) for watches we sell for customers. This fee is taken from the selling price and covers all advertising and merchant fees. It does not cover any servicing cost that may be required prior to the watch going on sale or shipping costs.

Our flat fee of £495 covers all watches sold upto a maximum of £5000. So if you have any pre owned Rolex, Omega, Breitling or TAG Heuer etc under £5000, we will sell it for you for a fee of £495.

For watches over £5000 that require no servicing or refurbishmant prior to sale a commission fee of of 10% (plus P&P) will be deducted from the selling price.

1. TELL US ABOUT YOUR WATCH

We need as much information as possible about the watch you want us to sell. Complete the form below to start the process of Swiss Watch Trader selling a watch on your behalf. Please include the following:

• The make, model and model number of the watch.

• Anything that is included with the watch, such as inner and outer boxes, a warranty card, certificates, hang tags and service history.

• Any defects, including minor ones.

• The price you are looking to achieve.

2. SEND US YOUR WATCH

Once we have received the information about your watch, we will get back to you to discuss the valuation. The price we agree upon will be based on the make, model, age and condition of your watch, and also be realistic. There is no point in advertising your watch at a price where it will not sell. Once both parties are in agreement in relation the the advertised price and the return price, we will send you a contract and postage details. You can then send us your watch.

3. WE ADVERTISE YOUR WATCH

Once we receive your watch our experts will inspect it to check the condition and to make sure it matches the description you’ve given us. If we feel the watch requires servicing or refurbishment prior to sale we will be in contact to gain your permission. Your watch will be advertised on this website, Chrono2 and eBay. We will also promote your watch on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. We will of course keep you updated throughout the sales process and be in contact if any offers are made on your watch that are below the asking price. We will also notify you as soon as your watch is sold and give you an estimated timescale for you to receive the agreed funds. As a rule, the proceeds of any sale will be retained for a maxumin of 30 days so that we comply with the distance selling law and faulty goods returns policy.

4. YOU GET PAID.

Once the necessary time has elapsed (no longer than 30 days) we will send your payment via bank transfer.
