The Rolex GMT Master 16700 was released by Rolex in 1988 and was initially on sale alongside the slightly more expensive Rolex GMT Master II 16710. The Rolex GMT Master 16700 was eventually discontinued in 1999. Unlike the Rolex GMT Master II 16710, the 16700 was only available with Blue/Red (BLRO) "Pepsi" and or all black (LN) bezel inserts.
