The Monaco was re-released by TAG Heuer in 1997 but it wasn't until 2003 that the famous blue dial as worn by Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans returned. The TAG Heuer Monaco CW2113is powered by the TAG Heuer calibre 17 automatic movement with chronograph function and has the date window located at the 6 o'clock position. The distinctive square case of the CW2113 measures 38mm and is fitted with a plexiglas crystal with solid case back. The model evolved into the CW2111 in 2009 which saw the case grow to 39mm. The CW2111 also saw the introduction of the Calibre 12 automatic movement and a sapphire crystal.
