Rolex Datejust 16078 (1980)
Welcome to the sale of our Rolex Datejust 16078. The extremely rare watch was originally produced in 1980 and remains in excellent condition. The Rolex Datejust 16078 features a 36mm 18k yellow gold case with 18k yellow gold bezel with bark design. The dial is probably classed as champagne in colour but looks closer to silver in the flesh. The watch is fitted with an unworn leather strap and gold Rolex buckle. The watch is powered by the Rolex calibre 3035 automatic movement with date window located at the 3 o'clock position. Complete with inner and outer boxes, both manuals, both hang tags, document holder, 1980 calendar card, service receipt and Rolex polishing cloth.

All watches purchased from Swiss Watch Trader will include a 24 month warranty. This warranty covers all mechanical issues not caused by the wearer. All our also watches also include a 14 day no question return policy. Customers have 14 days to inform Swiss Watch Trader that they wish to return the item and a further 14 days to actually return the item.
In 1945 Rolex introduced the Rolex Datejust to celebrate the companies 40th anniversary. The model has been so successful that it remains in production today. The 36mm Datejust was initially only available in 18ct yellow gold. It wasn't until the 1950's that steel and Rolesor (two-tone) models were made available.
