Sit back and read our 5 minute review of the Rolex GMT Master 16750. The Rolex GMT Master 16750 was in production from 1981 until 1988 and was available with the iconic red/blue Pepsi bezel insert or all black version. The Rolex GMT Master 16750 is considered a transitional model. Early examples of the 16750 were fitted with with matte dials and are highly desirable. The Rolex GMT Master 16750 was powered by the Rolex calibre 3075 automatic movement and available on either Jubilee or Oyster bracelet.
The Rolex GMT Master 16750 was released by Rolex in 1981 and originally featured a 40mm stainless steel case, bi-directional bezel with blue/red "Pepsi" or all black insert, matte black dial with printed indices and powered by the Rolex calibre 3075 automatic movement with date and GMT functions. The Rolex calibre 3075 introduced the quickset feature to the GMT. Early Rolex GMT Master 16750 watches were fitted with matte dials and are considered highly collectable, later dials had applied hour markers with white gold surrounds. The Rolex GMT Master 1675 was available on either oyster or jubilee bracelets. The 16750 was that last GMT to feature a plexiglas crystal. The Rolex GMT Master 16750 was replaced with the Rolex GMT Master 16700 in 1988.

During its short production run, the Rolex GMT Master 16750 was powered by the Rolex calibre 3075 automatic movement with 50 hour power reserve.
The Rolex caliber 3075 movement featured a quickset date and “hacking” function. This meant that the wearer could complete stop the watch whilst setting the time and date.
